Transitions
For some people the word, transition can ring an alarm and for some it can sound like hope. For me, this word transition, feels like both - exciting and a little scary, which evokes the same type of feeling withing. (excitement and fear, have the same chemical reaction or emotion in our bodies). I am looking forward to the fall season and the many transitions that come with it.
Why I am Looking Forward to the Fall Season
I am looking forward to the fall season, because I am hopeful that this fall season will be better than the last.
Last fall season was awful, and I wish to never re-live anything of that similarity ever again. The weather was moody and I had no idea what to dress like for each day. I lived in fear thinking about storms and they hardly came when they were suppose to. There were too many storms and often.
For this coming fall, I bought a raincoat. It is perfect, for me. It is the perfect length, size and even though I was unsure about the color, I concluded - it suits me. I also have a pair of wellies that fit me snug so my foot is not swimming around as I take leaps of faith on dry land. I am happy about having some pairs of leggings and dresses to go with my wellies in case I feel like dressing it up a bit. Either way, I am hopeful that I have enough of the right gear to weather softer storms, this time around. Which brings me to my next point. Soft storms.
Soft Storms
Even though - soft storms- sounds contradictory, that is the vibe, I am going into this fall season. Because even though the storms are part of our lives, they are definitely not to be part of our daily lives! Even God doesn’t send rain every day, because He knows, that would create a flood - which He promises not to do, in a large amount anyways. The point is, if daily storms are part of our daily, we need to check something and change what could be causing these daily storms to happen.
A Type of Raincoat
For what it is worth, sometimes you realize that these storms have been within you the whole time and that even on sunny days, the hail somehow erupts from within and it leaves a damage in your life. Sometimes we see that no matter how prepared we are, these hail storms just arrive without any warning and leave us with damages that are hard to unsee or unhear. Sometimes a raincoat and wellies can help to a certain point, until you have to hide for safety. Other times, there is only so much one raincoat and wellies can do, that you need to seek an additional protection from the storm. Because no mater how pretty your raincoat is on the outside, you still need additional resources to help you make the best decisions and dress appropriately for whatever life brings. And not that, your current raincoat is not helpful, because each raincoat is - but you just may need a new coat, for a different season in your life because your old raincoat can only work - in a limited type of weather.
The fall season is coming soon, and I am hopeful that the new raincoat is what I need, in this season, to help me grow further and bloom the way I was suppose to. I look forward to writing about it. Also, there are is a new project that I am beginning and I can not wait to share it!
Xo,
Anika
