Cat Day

It is World’s Cat Day and I believe Sparkles deserves a little blog post.

My cat Sparkles is around 17 years old. I have had two other cats beside her, Candy and Zoe, that have both passed.
Having a cat in your life, does make every day feel special. The nuances of Sparkles make my life meaningful just because she exists.

I learned the value of life through her. She shows me every day, through her discipline, how important it is to enjoy the little things. A simple walk outside, sunshine and even the sound of rain, are all the things she must have in her life. And when she cannot get to them, she will ask for it until she is able to be outside - where she feels free and happy.

Perhaps, I will will add more to this post but the moral of the story is, she matters. And what matters to her, matters to me.
I love her, and I am a better person, because, of my cat.
