First Day of Fall

It has been a little while since, I last posted. Life got a little busy and with that, little less time for blogging. But I managed to find some downtime, and dedicate it what I love doing the most, blogging. Even though my blog is small, it is something I thoroughly enjoy to update, because it makes me happy.
As someone with depression, it is important for me to cling to the very thing that is all mine and allows me to be creative in a way that feels authentic and genuine.

The first day of fall signals, new beginnings and new opportunities for memories that warm our hearts during this seasonal change.
I do love the fall season. It is cozy and perfect for outings. You can dress it up or dress it down, and all it takes is a cute jacket to go either sweats or a skirt.
Every season signals a new opportunity to make it better than what it was in the past. Last year, I enjoyed the fall season in my own way, but I definitely am looking forward to doing more during the fall 2026. The autumn can be quite short, and thus the window of opportunity to enjoy it is smaller. I think the expectation to have an awesome season can put a little pressure on us, to perform in a way that is more for Instagram, than have meaningful moments.

I think both can be possible. I think Instagram can be a record of awesome moments, but the awesome moments should not happen because of Instagram.
In this day and age, we do more things for the show rather then the vibe. And the vibe matters. That is why we spend time with certain people because their vibe matches ours or compliments us.

When people date, it is all about the vibe. And that can only happen when we spend time with someone. You cannot vibe with someone without spending time with them. And this fall is all about the vibe. Vibing with someone that makes the fall season cozy and meaningful. It is not easy to find that and searching for that can feel like and endless task, but once you find it, I think it becomes clear why the others didn’t vibe. It becomes clear why you should spend time with someone and why invest your time into them becomes of an importance.

In the past, I have invested a lot of my time, effort and energy into things and people that did not turn out to be give me the Return of Investment, ROI, that I was looking for. And thus, I took a long pause from investing into people and projects. It is only now, that I am finding the possibility of investing again. I am finding it, to be a good season to try again, but wiser.

Sometimes, I feel stuck, because my investments did not turn out the way I expected them to. I expected my investments to grow, but it did not. It is a tough mistake to let go of, but in order for me to grow, I have to learn, what to hold onto and what to let go of. I am now quicker to act because of my mistakes in the past. I am now wiser, because I learned, what works and what does not. But the most important thing I learned, is to forgive myself for the times, I did not know, what the best answer was. Seeing the bigger picture after some time has passed by is always easier then looking at the picture from one angle. Seeing the bigger picture from higher up, means being able to see the many ways, that were before hidden from our view. And thus, making peace with what once was in order to allow what is in front of us to have a clear view.

The fall season brings new ways of experiencing the beautiful moments that are unlike the ones in the past. The fall season simmers the summer into the category of the past and welcomes the possibility of something that can be cultivated to grow in the spring season. So whatever we plant this fall, may it give us the return of investment in the spring time with extra room to plant flowers to compliment the garden full of beauty.

Anika
